We are proud to announce the 2009 MIT Open Ballroom Dance Competition, to take place April 25–26, 2009 in Rockwell Cage. The MIT Open is one of the largest collegiate ballroom dance competitions in the country, last year attracting over 1000 competitors from over 60 schools and studios.

As in previous years, we will offer all 19 dances from Beginner to Championship levels primarily in single- or two-dance events.

The competition is on the MIT campus in Rockwell Gym, 106 Vassar St, Cambridge, MA 02139.
$6,000 Prize Purse for Champ/Pre-Champ Events

Open dancers! Come strut your stuff at the 2009 MIT Open, and you could wind up with more than a blue ribbon and a warm fuzzy feeling. Top couples in Champ Standard, Champ Latin, Open Smooth and Open Rhythm will receive a $500 cash prize. Check out our Prizes page for details. There will be some hot competition at the 2009 MIT Open!
